Vizag: Raids on TDP leaders’ assets to continue?

The war between YSRCP and TDP continues in the City of Destiny. Speculations are that the ruling party mulls booking criminal cases on TDP leaders while the demolishing drive is expected to go on.

Will the demolition drive targeting the encroachments of TDP leaders in Vizag every week, continue in the future? Will the officers who have so far stopped with the acquisition process also register criminal cases in the future? Is the ruling party initiating steps to put TDP leaders behind the bars? Attempts being made to book TDP leaders under non-bailable sections? These are evident from the indications given by V Vijayasai Reddy the Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha.

The YSRCP MP in his interaction with the media having inaugurated the YSR Cricket tournament in Vizag made his intent clear. He alleged that MLAs, Ministers and political leaders during the previous TDP regime had resorted to land grabbing in the city and that records temple lands belonging to the Endowments Department have been altered. The MP added that strict action against Revenue Department officials will be taken and all those involved in the misuse of temple lands will not be spared. Vijayasai Reddy also warned of initiating criminal cases against those TDP leaders who fail to return the government lands voluntarily.

AP Secretariat to be built on government land

With Vizag announced to be made the Executive Capital, the state government has made up its mind to build all government establishments only on government lands and that not even a cent of private land would be considered. The AP Secretariat would be constructed only on government land. The YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy also made it clear that all efforts are being made to retrieve the government lands which were grabbed by the TDP leaders since a decade. The demolition drive in Vizag will continue, the MP added.

No questions of ignoring disputed lands

The Rajya Sabha MP also warned that those leaders who were trying to hinder the takeover process through the courts will not be left. All efforts to revoke the court stay will be made, and the state government will obtain the disputed lands. The National General Secretary of YSR Congress Party also went on to say that those responsible will be arrested at any cost and that their games would not go forward.

Vast knowledge about various IPC sections

If the Leader of Opposition Chandrababu Naidu has a political experience of 40 years, then YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy has gained immense knowledge about various sections in the IPC with his frequent visits to the CBI and Courts. He also assured the TDP leaders that strict criminal cases would be lodged under non-bailable sections and even explained about various sections in a detailed manner than a lawyer. The MP said that bail would not be granted in such cases wherein the punishment would exceed seven years and Sections under IPC 466, 467, 418, 468, 465, 204, 409, 491 would be imposed which are non-bailable offences. Hence, Vijayasai Reddy has made it clear that the TDP leaders in Vizag need to brace themselves for more in the days to come.
