VK Sasikala walks free after 4-yr imprisonment

Vivekanandan Krishnaveni Sasikala walked out of the Parappana Agrahara prison in Bengaluru having served four-year jail term in connection with the disproportionate assets case. The 66-yr old completed her release formalities at the Victoria hospital as she is currently being treated for Coronavirus. Having been arrested in February 2017 she almost spent four years in jail until her release on Wednesday. He release comes on a day when the TN CM Edappadi K Palaniswami inaugurates Jayalalithaa’s memorial at Chennai’s Marina Beach, built at a cost of ₹ 79 crores.
