VSP Trade Unions unhappy as AP CM fails to give assurance

The Trade Union leaders of Vizag Steel Plant expressed their unhappiness over AP CM YS Jagan failing to give assurance over stopping the privatisation of RINL, during a meeting at the airport lounge in the city.

Over 14 Employee Union leaders met AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy at the Vizag Airport Lounge and handed over a Memorandum against the privatisation of Vizag Steel Plant as proposed by the Centre. The Union leaders mentioned that Vizag Steel Plant needs to be provided captive iron ore mines and that its loans be converted to equity. However, the AP CM YS Jagan who listened patiently to the demands made by the union leaders said that he has written regarding the same to the PM Narendra Modi to consider an alternative decision instead of privatizing the steel plant. He added that the Centre would respond positively and that the matter is entirely in its purview. CM Jagan made it clear that he is against the privatisation of RINL  and that the matter would be taken up in the Assembly session.
