Will she take revenge or follow PM Modi’s path?

Former MP CM Kamal Nath is known for his controversial statements. It has to be seen how the BJP would utilize the current situation to its advantage.

A few days ago, Congress senior leader and former CM Kamal Nath hogged the limelight for having termed a woman minister who switched sides as ‘item’. This led the Election Commission to issue a notice to Kamala Nath asking him for an explanation regarding the controversial remark. The Congress leader was given 48 hours to respond to the EC. Reacting on the issue, leaders across the political spectrum condemned the derogatory remarks made against a woman minister and termed it unfortunate that a person who had been in the CM post resorted to such foul language. Following the massive outrage, Kamal Nath had to issue an apology for his remarks.

Now, as the saying goes ‘When people throw stones or bricks at you, use them to build a bigger and better life’. This is exactly the strategy that the BJP had been using for a long time.

This was also the same strategy that PM Narendra Modi had used during his election campaign to ascend the Prime Minister’s chair. If one recalls what happened back in 2014, it was an opposition leader who ridiculed Narendra Modi’s Prime Ministerial ambitions, saying that the latter would never become the PM and that he was welcome to sell tea in front of their office. The BJP took advantage of the situation, hit back immediately saying the strength of Indian democracy would be proved when a tea vendor would defeat a dynasty representative.

Now, it has to be seen whether the woman minister who was insulted by Congress’ Kamal Nath would draw inspiration from the strategies implemented by the BJP. If she manages to do so, then her victory is confirmed, speculate political circles in Madhya Pradesh.
