This Mohanlal starrer grossed Rs.200 crore globally and is even dubbed into Telugu and Tamil. While Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi essayed the role of antagonist, Manju Warrier and Indrajith Sukumaran played the pivotal characters in it.<\/p>\n<p>Even though many makers from Tollywood competed for its rights, Ram Charan grabbed them at exorbitant prices to remake it with Chiranjeevi. <em>Saaho<\/em> fame Sujeeth was considered to direct it initially but his script has failed to convince the Megastar reportedly. V.V Vinayak entered the scene and is said to have worked on tweaking the script for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>According to the industry sources, the project has now come to young director Harish Shankar. He is known to film remakes without spoiling the soul and his previous films <em>Gabbar Singh<\/em> and <em>Gaddalakonda Ganesh<\/em> prove the same.
