It was written by Chalam in 1927 and termed as one of the greatest works of Telugu literature. <em>Maidanam<\/em> focuses on the plight of the women who were clutched in the conservative family system in the pre-Independence era. Chalam satires on marriage, freedom, and moral obligations and stresses on the ill-treatment of women as mere objects.<\/p>\n<p>Venu Udugula who made films like <em>Needi Naadi Oke Katha<\/em> and <em>Virataparvam<\/em> is stepping into the producer&#8217;s shoes for <em>Maidanam.<\/em> This Aha original will be directed by Kavi Siddharth and the makers have announced it officially at a grand event organized by the OTT team on Diwali.<em> Maidanam<\/em> will be made on a medium budget and the makers have already started its shoot. Let\u2019s wait and see how this controversial novel translates on to the screen.
