Suspense over video conference with collectors<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n The video conference scheduled for Wednesday evening was cancelled by the AP Election Commissioner over non-cooperation by the state government. Nimmagadda in a letter to the CS asked all district collectors to be ready for a video conference at 10 am on Thursday to discuss the election arrangements. However, no reply was received from the Chief Secretary so far. Will, there be a video conference with collectors at 10 am today?<\/p>\n Will the government cooperate for the conference?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n There is a lot of speculation as to what decision the Election Commissioner will take if the collectors do not attend the video conference. Will disciplinary action be taken against collectors if they skip the meeting called by the Election Commissioner? New doubts are being raised whether the Election Commissioner has powers to take action. But it seems collectors are waiting for CS\u2019 orders. Information is that the collectors are willing to attend if they receive information from CS that they will have to attend the conference.
