It was indeed Kiara Advani who was the first choice for the film. In one of her interviews, Kiara said that she had auditioned for the role of Shanaya in <em>Student Of The Year<\/em> but the role eventually went to Alia Bhatt.<\/p>\n<p>The actress did not get the part. She had also auditioned for several projects for Yash Raj Films. But Kiara Advani eventually made her debut.
