Almost all opposition parties, which include the Congress, NCP, Aam Aadmi Party, DMK and TRS have supported the Bharat Bandh. Though the government’s sixth round of negotiations were to be held on Wednesday, the Union Minister Amit Shah called the farmers for talks at 7 PM on Tuesday itself, in a bid to end the massive agitation against the contentious agricultural laws.<\/p>\n
As a matter of fact, Amit Shah himself calling farmers for an unofficial discussion itself holds immense significance. It is known that AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy himself had to return from Delhi several times despite having obtained an appointment to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. This proves that the farmers succeeded in making the government engage with them at the highest level.
