Parthiv Patel who played for the Indian national cricket team, on Wednesday, announced his decision to end his illustrious 18-yr old career. The left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman used to play for Gujarat and made his debut into the national side in 2002, to become the youngest to play for India in Tests at the age of 17-years against England.<\/p>\n

In his career, he played 25 Tests \u2013 scored 934 runs, a batting average of 31.13, six half-centuries, a top score of 71 runs, 62 catches and 10 stumpings. In 38 ODIs \u2013 scored 736 runs, a batting average of 23.74, four half-centuries, a top score of 95 runs, 30 catches and 9 stumpings. He also played two T20Is \u2013 scored 36 runs, a batting average of 18, a top score of 26 runs and took a single catch. His last outing for the Indian team was in 2018 against South Africa for a Test match in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n
