Many nationally renowned organizations have entered the field and collected over 300 samples to find the source of the disease here. Drinking water for a week and food samples taken by Eluru people were tested at NIN in Hyderabad. The reports were laid before CM Jaganmohan Reddy today. However, AIMS and the National Institute of Chemical Technology have given different reports. The CM directed CS Neelam Sahni to conduct a comprehensive review and see to it that such incidents are not repeated.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>Labs in each district<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>CM Jaganmohan Reddy directed the officials to set up labs in every district to test drinking water, food and soil samples so that the incidents like Eluru are not repeated. According to AIIMS, the National Institute of Chemical Technology reports the disease was caused due to pesticide residues in the food consumed by the people. However, reports from several companies have already revealed the presence of residues of organochlorine, lead, mercury and pesticides. The CM was also confused as he was giving reports one by one with different reasons. The CM directed in a video conference with the medical officers to find out the obvious reasons for this.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>Is it due to pesticide residues?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>National Research Institutes have revealed that the people of Eluru suffered symptoms of fits due to the presence of pesticide residues in their diet. Why such an incident took place only in Eluru. There are no crops on which pesticides are not sprayed. Eluru people also eat food that everyone eats. Then questions arise as to why this happened only in Eluru. The CM directed the officials to find out how the pesticide residues got into the bodies of the people and encourage organic farming through.
