The YSRCP in a bid to tackle the TDP and for its own political mileage had appointed Sanchaita Gajapathi Raju as the Chairperson of MANSAS. However, the decisions being taken by Ananda Gajapathi Raju\u2019s daughter has led to several controversies. This also includes her feud with Ashok Gajapati Raju, former Union Minister. Especially, the aggressive behaviour of Sanchaita and her anti-people decisions such as privatisation of MR Autonomous College, closing down the Ayodhya Maidan, insulting her own sister in the presence of goddess Pydithalli Ammavaru during Sirimanothsavam has led to the YSRCP cadre facing the heat from the public. The YSRCP leaders fear that if Sanchaita continues to take such decisions then definitely it could dent their party image in the upcoming local party polls.<\/p>\n

In the previous general elections, the YSRCP had won nine Assembly seats from Vizianagaram district including the Lok Sabha seats from Araku, Vizag and Vizianagaram. This led to the YSRCP having a strong base in the district. But the recent decisions taken by the MANSAS Chairperson has left the YSRCP leaders terrified. The ruling party leaders are expressing their concerns that though the decision by MANSAS is not related in any manner, they are worried that repercussions would have to be borne by the party. Actually, the YSRCP to curb the political dominion of TDP leader and former Union Minister Pusapati Ashok Gajapati Raju in the region had appointed Sanchaita Gajapathi Raju as the Chairperson of MANSAS and the Simhachalam Temple. The daughter of Ananda Gajapathi Raju and his first wife Uma Gajapathi Raju were earlier staying in Delhi.<\/p>\n

Now, Sanchaita in the post of MANSAS Chairperson began targeting her uncle and royal scion Pusapati Ashok Gajapati Raju. She even alleged her uncle of having caused a loss of Rs 13 crore to the trust, and Rs 6 crore loss to the MANSAS educational establishment. These allegations against the senior TDP leader made the YSRCP jump with joy, however, their happiness didn\u2019t last long. The move by MANSAS to privatise the MR College (Aided and Autonomous) and closing down the junior college led to strong criticism within the YSRCP and even turned into a topic of discussion in the whole district. Several public organisations, student organisations and opposition parties held protests and have strongly opposed MANSAS\u2019 decisions. Now, another issue of allowing only MANSAS students for a morning walk at the Ayodhya Maidan drew severe flak from the public.<\/p>\n
