We all know that Rajya Sabha MP Garikapati Mohan Rao left TDP and joined BJP in 2019 after the general elections. He jumped into the BJP boat in order to safeguard his business interests from the clutches of YSRCP. Garikapati has got 11 mining leases in Prakasam dist. under the aegis of SR Infra. However, his plan does not seem to be working as the YSRCP Government imposed a fine of Rs. 200 crores on his holdings and recently terminated his licenses owing to non-payment of the dues.<\/p>\n
Garikapati is said to be a close aide of Chandrababu Naidu and sources say that his true loyalty rests with TDP even though he is in BJP now. He is one among the four Rajya Sabha MPs who joined BJP in 2019 for reasons well known in political circles. Garikapati is even said to be one of the main pillars that support TDP financially and he is still doing it under the shadows. He is a well-known businessman in both the Telugu states who stays out of limelight and considered to be a kind hearted person who doesn\u2019t have a nose for controversies. If sources were to be believed, YSRCP terminated his mining licenses in order to wound his financial and political aspirations.<\/p>\n
Who\u2019s next?<\/strong><\/p>\n Even though some of the leaders joined BJP to shield their business activities, YSRCP Government is in no mood to leave them as the big wigs in the cabinet believe that these leaders are very much loyal to TDP. In order to destroy the financial base of TDP, the YSRCP Government is using all kinds of tactics to weaken their financial roots. The recent trend of attacking business activities of TDP loyalists using Government departments confirm the above facts.<\/p>\n Political analysts say that the list is going to be long and the attacks are not going to stop any sooner. Names in the YSRCP hit list includes Yeluri Sambasiva Rao, MLA – Paruchuru, Anjaneyulu, TDP President – Guntur dist., Yarapatineni Srinivasa Rao, Former MLA -Gurajala, Dhulipala Narendra, Sangam Dairy Chairman and Senior TDP leader and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani.
