The prices are Rs 3 to Rs 5 more than those of the neighbouring states. While the diesel rates are higher in other states, the petrol rate is more in AP. The prices of petrol have crossed Rs 100 in the country. The petrol has hit a century in Rajasthan\u2019s Ganganagar. The price of petrol is Rs 97.73 whereas the premium petrol price is Rs 100. This is the first time the prices have gone beyond Rs 100. Rajasthan government decreased 4 percent VAT. AP also decreased VAT to 34 percent but increased other taxes. If the AP continues to increase taxes, the petrol would soon hit the century mark.
