The beheading of Kodanda Rama’s idol, which created a sensation all over the country, is back and haunting YSRCP Minister and a key leader Botsa Satyanarayana. The issue has reached the Chief Minister in which it is said that Botsa, who continues to be a key leader in the state, a good orator in the YSRCP and an unstoppable leader in the Vizianagaram district, failed to act in a timely manner in the Ramatheertham affair. It is learnt that the delay in acting swiftly on the temple issue had affected the party and the Chief Minister who\u2019s unhappy over the issue has sought an explanation from him.<\/p>\n
In fact, though there were many attacks on temples in the state, the incident at Ramatheertham was at its peak. It is a fact that the Hindu community could not digest the beheading of the idol of Lord Rama by miscreants. Keep aside the politics; there is a lot of anger in the people.<\/p>\n
It is learnt that the intelligence reports received by CM Jagan on the Ramatheertham incident said that the public was outraged and this created an embarrassing situation for the government. To escape from this controversy, the government took up a renovation drive. It was during this period that the foundation stone was laid for the reconstruction of temples in Vijayawada. However, YSRCP leaders said that Jagan was a bit angry with Minister Botsa Satyanarayana. Though Vijay Sai Reddy is the convener of coastal districts, Botsa is more aggressive in Vizianagaram.<\/p>\n
The party seniors said that the YSRCP chief feels that Botsa Satyanarayana has failed to sense the issue in the wake of the state-wide Ramatheertham incident, avoiding criticism of the government. It is learnt that Botsa Satyanarayana was asked to submit a report on the events before and after the incident in Vizianagaram.<\/p>\n
The senior leaders opined that Botsa should have acted strategically and checked the opposition’s aggression on the issue. It remains to be seen how the minister will respond to this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
