It is known that a minor improvised explosive device planted close to the Israel Embassy on Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road in New Delhi, had blasted shattering the windscreens of three cars in its proximity on Friday. Luckily none were injured in the incident. Following the incident, External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar dialled his Israeli counterpart and assured complete security to the Israel diplomats.<\/p>\n

Now, the Delhi Police who have begun an investigation into the incident has revealed that two people had arrived in a car and had reportedly planted the explosive in a flower pot. They also found an envelope with a letter addressed to the Israel Envoy which read that this is just a trailer. According to sources, two names have also been mentioned in the letter – Qasem Soleimani and Dr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the two Iranian martyrs who were assassinated by the United States and Israel respectively. Qasem Soleimani was an Iranian military officer and Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Mahabadi was a brigadier general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.<\/p>\n

Police in their preliminary investigation reported that Ammonium Nitrate was used in the explosive. However, police suspect a larger conspiracy behind the blast and also suspect Iran\u2019s involvement.
