Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday presented the Union Budget 2021-22. Not even a single rupee has been allocated to AP. However, the allocations for the states like Assam, Bengal, Kerala and Tamil Nadu wherein elections are to be held have been given like a red carpet. The Centre allocated funds for National Highways, Metro, Rail lines but there was nothing for the Telugu States. The minister said that there will be an East-Coast Freight corridor between Vijayawada-Kharagpur.<\/p>\n
TDP MLAs Gorantla, Ayyanna Patrudu reacted to the budget in their own style. Choudary, on his Twitter account, shared a picture of an empty coconut shell and termed it great. He also thanked the YSRCP MPs for bringing huge funds for the State.<\/p>\n
He also targeted the Centre stating that it appears that the Centre had no idea to allocate funds to which capital. The YSRCP MPs should have told the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman about the capital city.<\/p>\n
Even Ayyanna Patrudu too shared his opinion having shared a picture of Vijay Sai Reddy sitting behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He tweeted, \u201cI am sitting behind Prime Minister Modi, I am great. It is not enough to get boasted by your PR team. We thought you were behind him to get lots of funds for the state. This day it is clear that you have been touching his feet for your cases. You can\u2019t bring funds to the state\u2026 Why do you make comments? Have you, your 22 MPs and six Rajya Sabha members sold AP for your cases\u2026.<\/p>\n
From the time the state was divided in 2014 to today’s budget, every time, years have passed with the expectation that this time the Centre will do justice to the State. Keep aside the special status there were expectations that at least there will be an announcement on the metro, national highways, trains. But the Centre gave a raw deal as every time. The people of AP are continuously deceived. It has to be seen whether the AP BJP leaders would talk about Vijayawada-Kharagpur East-Coast Freight Corridor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
