Another vaccine is coming into the country in the wake of declining vaccine stocks. The Central Government has granted emergency approvals to the Russian-made Sputnik v Corona vaccine. The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved the recommendations of the Committee of Experts (SEC) for the approval of the Sputnik V vaccine. Covaxin and Covishield corona vaccines have been given to people in India so far. Both these vaccines are manufactured in India. The Sputnik V vaccine is coming as the third vaccine. This vaccine, made in Russia, is already being used in many countries.
