Mahesh went on to act in Anil Ravipudi\u2019s \u2018Sarileru Neekevvaru\u2019 and locked horns with Bunny\u2019s \u2018Ala Vaikuntapuram lo\u2019. Even though SLN fared well at the box-office, it was no-match for AVL and Mahesh is not happy about this.<\/p>\n<p>Now the same Sukumar\u2019s script which was rejected by Mahesh Babu was lapped up by Bunny who gave his nod for the project which was named \u2018Pushpa\u2019. As per industry sources, Mahesh rejected \u2018Pushpa\u2019 due to its rustic story and realistic portrayal of red sandal smuggling. He thought that these aspects would hamper his sophisticated image, and in turn, the film\u2019s prospects. With news about the way the scenes are shaping up reaching Mahesh Babu, it seems he is regretting about not doing the project.
