The High Court held that the Election Commission was responsible for the Second Wave boom and that a murder case should be registered against the election officials. The High Court thus erred on the part of the Election Commission on a request made by a Member of Parliament to take steps to comply with the Covid rules during the counting of votes. Easy claims to have completely failed to enforce corona sanctions during the election campaign. Covid warned that the counting of votes on May 2 would be halted if the Election Commission did not implement plans to comply with the rules.
