New variant cases registered in India are not recognized as Indian variants and such variant cases have been reported in many countries in the past. However, it indirectly stated that elections and festivals, etc are the reason for the surge in viral infections. The WHO South Asia Affairs Department tweeted a 32-page report, citing a new variant of the virus outbreak in India.<\/p>\n
B 1.617 and B 1.617.2 cases registered in India are said to be responsible for the increase. Recall that the dangerous type B1,617 was first detected in the country in October last year. It also commented that the subtypes also came to light one by one after that. From April this year to date, 21 percent of cases registered across the country have been registered as B1.617.1 and seven percent as B1.617.2.<\/p>\n

New variants of Covid are currently being called by the names of many countries around the world. The WHO clarified in the context of calling the British variant by the Indian variant names. It commented that the viruses did not identify themselves by the names of the countries where they first appeared, but by scientific names. Suggested that everyone adopt a similar approach to identify those variants worldwide. The announcement comes in the wake of reports that a new variant of the Indian Covid-19 has been launched in 44 countries. The Indian government has expressed similar views in the past.<\/p>\n
