\u2018Trance\u2019 is an interesting and thought-provoking film that was released on \u2018Aha\u2019 OTT platform recently. Plot<\/strong><\/p>\n Viju Prasad who loses his parents in childhood lives in Kanyakumari with his mentally unstable brother. He makes his livelihood by being a motivational speaker. His brother\u2019s suicide depresses him and makes him shift to Mumbai. A big contract knocks his door which needs him to pose as a Christian pastor and perform hoax healings. Viju takes this as a challenge and excels in it. What did he achieve and lose ultimately in his life constitutes the rest of the story.<\/p>\n Analysis<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2018Trance\u2019 portrays the exploitation of people\u2019s beliefs in the name of religion by the corporate world. It clearly talks about the hoax miracles performed by pastors who lie about removing the ailments from the sufferers in the name of God. It is really an adventure to make a film about these issues in Kerala which constitutes 30-40% of Christian population. One has to appreciate director Anwar Rasheed\u2019s dedication and the producer\u2019s guts for that. Fahaad Faasil\u2019s acting in the role of Viju Prasad is out-standing and Srinath Bhasi\u2019s portrayal of his mentally unstable brother stands as another highlight.
