The Sandalwood drugs probe which shook the state of Karnataka, has now taken a major political turn with the name of TV anchor Anushree cropping up. The development comes in the wake of Mangalore CCB officials tracing Anushree\u2019s call date records on the day she was summoned for interrogation. Now the alleged interference by an Ex-CM in the drugs probe has made the case sensational.<\/p>\n
Anushree tried to get in touch with a former CM, his son and an influential political leader from Karnataka\u2019s coastal region. However, the anchor took to social media and posted a video saying that she didn\u2019t do drugs and that she is completely innocent. Anushree also urged the public not to believe in rumours and that she isn\u2019t guilty and the matter is still being probed.<\/p>\n
However, former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy speaking to reporters on the issue alleged that the anchor had contacted influential political leaders and sought to know the details as to who are trying to protect her.<\/p>\n
Whoever the former chief minister is, has to be revealed before the public, HD Kumaraswamy said, adding he has the information about the godfather (Ex-CM) who contacted Anushree and assured her of assistance.<\/p>\n
Who is that Ex-CM?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n There is a widespread debate as to who is the Ex-CM trying to shield Anushree following Kumaraswamy\u2019s allegations. Whether this Ex-CM belongs to the ruling party or opposition? Since, the former Karnataka CM and Janata Dal (Secular) President made the claims, the remaining names in the list are – JagadishShettar, DV Sadananda Gowda, VeerappaMoily, SM Krishna and Siddaramaiah. Though the issue sparked in Bollywood, it spread its tentacles to Sandalwood.<\/p>\n Obscene stuff in Ragini and Sanjjanaa\u2019s phones<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n It is known that Kannada actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani were arrested by the Bengaluru Police in connection with the drug probe. A special court in Bengaluru even rejected the bail plea of both the actresses. Karnataka Police who recovered the data deleted by both heroines from their mobile phones were shocked by the \u2018stuff\u2019 they have seen. Officials found obscene photos, videos and a secret \u2018WhatsApp\u2019 group maintained by them and evidences of chats with international drug peddlers. The accused also held parties often at a farmhouse in the outskirts of Bengaluru.<\/p>\n Police have also arrested two people in connection with the case from Kengeri and Nigeria, and are on the lookout for others.
