He started his career as a civil engineer and later became a producer. He made 18 films till now with stars like Manoj, Nithin and Nani. DS Rao also acted in several films and recently had a chat with TLN.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI started my career as a civil engineer but my passion for cinema made me enter into films and produce 18 films. Nani\u2019s \u2018Pilla Jamindar\u2019, Nithin\u2019s \u2018Drona\u2019 and Manoj\u2019s \u2018Mr. Nookayya\u2019 brought me a good name as a producer.<\/p>\n<p>Big budget movies with heavy star cast are not suitable for OTT releases as they result in losses. But OTT is a boon for small films and I am also planning a web series with Renu Desai with a unique plot. Owing to our acquaintance, I asked Nithin and Nani to do a film for me but they were a bit apprehensive to work with me. I stopped asking them.<\/p>\n<p>I want to do films with NTR and Allu Arjun. I love the working style of Puri Jagannadh. He shoots the film in a speedy manner and saves money for producers. I also like VV Vinayak and Teja who are my friends. He made me an actor and I played various roles in more than 50 films.<\/p>\n<p>I bought Kannada rights of \u2018RX100\u2019 but sold to others. Presently I am working on a film with Suresh Productions. There is ample talent in Tollywood.
