In 2009, Geetha joined the Praja Rajyam Party founded by Megastar Chiranjeevi and had contested as an MLA from Vizianagram constituency. She managed to gain political recognition having garnered 28,000 votes. Later when the PRP merged with the Congress, Geetha re-joined the TDP. It was in 2014, that Geetha on a TDP ticket won from Vizianagaram and worked hard to develop the constituency. However, she is disappointed that having done so much for the TDP, and being a sitting MLA, she was not given a ticket.<\/p>\n To join YSRCP<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n According to trusted sources, Geetha who hails from a strong social and economic community is looking forward to joining the YSRCP.
