Three women activists attacked a ‘Youtube’ Vlogger on Saturday in Thiruvananthapuram for making a video which has derogatory comments on feminists in Kerala. These women activists, in an act of moral policing, attacked and disrobed Dr. Vijay P Nair and threatened him to not post such videos in the future.
Vijay P Nair who lives in the Gandhari Ammankovil Road of Thiruvananthapuram is a famous Youtuber. He recently posted a video with the title “Why do feminists in India, especially Kerala, not wear underwear?”
The comments received on the video infuriated the women activists in Kerala who attacked Vijay viciously at his house. Veteran dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi, Sreelakshmi Arackal and self-proclaimed activist Diya Sana were among those who led the attack.
Diya Sana shot a video of this attack and posted on Youtube. The angry women said that they resorted to this attack because the authorities have not taken any action despite lodging complaints in police stations. The police have registered cases on both the parties and are enquiring into the matter.
