Kadapa MP YS Pratap Reddy, brother of Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy, has been arrested by the police in connection with the blast at the Mamillapalle pyrite mines in the Kadapa district. It is learned that ten workers were killed in the Mamillapalle blast. Although YS Pratap Reddy has an explosives license, it seems that proper regulations have not been followed for moving and unloading explosives at the mines in Mamillapalle. Police registered a case and arrested YS Pratap Reddy as part of the investigation.
