The YSRCP has officially announced its MP candidate for the upcoming Tirupati LS bypolls, thereby bringing down the curtains on unnecessary speculations. YS Jagan chose Dr Gurumurthy who is a physiotherapist by profession as the Tirupati LS MP candidate, instead of the deceased MP Balli Durga Prasad Rao’s wife or son. However, it has been assured by CM YS Jagan that Balli Durga Prasad Rao’s son Kalyan Chakravarthy would be given an MLC ticket.
Earlier, it was speculated that the late YSRCP MP Balli Durga Prasad Rao’s son or wife would be chosen for the Tirupati LS MP post. Usually, a political party tries to cash on the sympathy wave and grants the ticket to the family members of the deceased as per the norm. YSRCP Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said that the AP CM promised an MLC ticket to Balli Durga Prasad Rao’s son Kalyan Chakravarthy and that the family of the deceased MP have pledged their support to ensure the victory of Dr Gurumurthy from Tirupati LS byelection.
