Everyone knows that the ruling YSRCP and the opposition TDP are at loggerheads. However, it is learned that a ruling MP and a key TDP leader are working together in Guntur district. They are demanding the formation of Palnadu district with Gurazala as its headquarters. It is learned that some MLAs have complained to YSRCP chief about the development.
What actually happened?
There has always been a demand for the formation of Palnadu district with Gurazala as its headquarters. With the recent process of formation of new districts gaining momentum, the opposition is gearing up for an agitation demanding the formation of Palnadu district. However, Narasaraopet YSRCP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu too demanded he same, leaving YSRCP leaders infuriated. It seems the news reached the CMO as Narasaraopet MLA Srinivasa Reddy was pressured to inform the high command. Some YSRCP leaders have accused MP Sri Krishna Devarayalu of colluding with TDP senior leader Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao. It seems that the CM has said that there was no room for political pressure in the formation of districts and that public opinion was important.
Still, some leaders are unrelenting
The process of forming a district with Gurazala as its headquarters has turned a headache for the ruling party. The party chief is worried that if Palnadu district is formed with Narasaraopet as headquarters it will have to face a worse situation in Gurazala and Macherla constituencies in the near future. With the issue being related to the sentiments of people CM Jaganmohan Reddy is giving priority to public opinion rather than political pressure. CS Nilam Sawhney has completed a study on the formation of new districts. However, public opinions were not taken anywhere. It seems that the authorities are getting ready to gather public opinion on the formation of districts on the orders of the CM.
YSRCP MLAs revolt against MP
Some MLAs are openly fighting with Narasaraopet YSRCP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu. Of the seven constituencies in the city, not even two MLAs are supporting the MP. The Chilakaluripet YSRCP MLA Vidadala Rajini asked the Narasaraopet MP not to step into her constituency without her prior permission. The differences between Narasaraopet YSRCP MLA Srinivasa Reddy and MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu also came to the fore over the issue of district formation.
