Creative director Shankar was served a non-bailable warrant by the Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Egmore. This warrant was issued due to the non-appearance of Shankar before the court in a case regarding the plagiarism of Robo’s story.
A writer named Arur Tamilnandan approached the court complaining that Shankar copied his short story named Jiguba which he penned in 1996 and used for his Robo. He filed a case against Shankar under the violation of the Copyright Act, 1957. Shankar hasn’t attended the court to any hearing so far which made the court finally issue a non-bailable warrant on him.
