Ram Pothineni’s chocolate boy image is not leaving him even though he is trying hard to shred it for a long time. He tried mass films earlier in his career which turned to be duds. Dynamic director Puri Jagannadh gave Ram his first bombastic mass hit with iSmart Shankar last year. This revived Ram’s hopes and he immediately helmed RED with Kishore Tirumala of Nenu Sailaja fame. RED was completed long ago and lying in cans due to the lockdown.
Even though OTT giants approached producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore with tempting offers, he rejected them opting for a theatrical release. Ram also revealed that RED will be released only in theatres in a recent media interaction. But he is unable to decide whether to release it for Sankranthi or the coming summer. Mass Maharaja has already announced his Krack’s release date on January 14th. This is said to be irking Ram since he doesn’t want to pitch RED among the competition. Let’s see what he decides finally.
