Netflix bags the streaming rights of Viraataparvam

International OTT giant Netflix has now started eyeing regional films. It has bagged the streaming rights of Rana Daggubati’s Viraatapravam for a tempting price. According to the agreement, Netflix has to stream it only after the theatrical release.

This OTT leader has already streamed hits like Paava Kadhaigal, Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, Krishna and his Leela and Andhakaaram this year. Suresh Productions’ new age films are paying well and Netflix’s association with this top production house is proving to be fruitful. Films like Oh! Baby, C/o Kancharapalem, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, and Krishna and his Leela were sold to Netflix by Suresh Productions earlier.

Viraataparvam is directed by Venu Udugula while Priyamani, Sai Pallavi, and Nivetha Pethuraj are playing the female leads. It is based on the Naxalite backdrop and is going to hit the theatres in the summer.
