Sharwanand’s grandfather’s residence destroyed in floods

The residence of young hero Sharwanand’s grandfather was destroyed in Krishna floods recently. Sharwa’s grandfather Myneni Hariprasada Rao is a famous nuclear scientist and social worker who worked as the Director of the Nuclear Power Board (now known as NPCL) of DAE, Mumbai. He is lauded by many as “The Father” or “Architect” of Madras Atomic Power Station. The recent Krishna river floods have ravaged the Edlalanka village near Avanigadda which also houses the residence of Hariprasada Rao. Reports suggest that the house was submerged and left devastated. Residents of the village left their half-submerged homes and moved on to higher grounds.

Sharwanand’s kith and kin mostly live in and around Vijayawada and Krishna district. When he was a child, Sharwa spent a lot of time at his grandfather’s house and continues to do so whenever he comes to Vijayawada for shootings. Close friend circles of Sharwa suggest that he was moved by the plight of the residents and feels sad about his grandfather’s house getting submerged. Incidentally, Sharwanand’s great grandfather’s house was destroyed due to last year’s floods, and this year it was his grandfather’s turn to suffer.
