Srikanth Addala counting on Naarappa

Family director Srikanth Addala achieved grand success with his debut film Kotha Bangaru Lokam in 2008. This Varun Sandesh and Shweta Basu starrer went on to set a trend in the love genre. After a gap of five years, Srikanth bagged the golden opportunity to direct Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. This film made him a star director.

After two stellar successes, the mega family fixed Srikanth as the director of Varun Tej’s introduction film Mukunda. It bombed at the box office while Mahesh offered him another chance with Brahmotsavam. Mahesh even became a producer for it and Srikanth failed him utterly. Brahmotsavam became the biggest flop ever in Tollywood way back in 2016.

It turned the world upside down for Srikanth and after four years, he has grabbed an opportunity to direct Victory Venkatesh. He is currently directing the remake of Asuran with Venkatesh named Naarappa which is produced by D. Suresh Babu. Venky is playing a vengeance filled rustic village dweller’s role in it. Srikanth is pinning lots of hopes on Naarappa as it is going to be the make or break film for him.
