Tollywood is gradually opening for a new kind of cinema and even stars are getting ready to helm experimental films. Our top heroes are encountering a dearth for new villains who can match their stardom lately. As Telugu films started attracting the national interest, makers are scouting for villains who sport considerable craze on par with heroes.
After completing Acharya, Megastar Chiranjeevi will start the remake of Vedhalam under the direction of Meher Ramesh. This Billa director has readied the script already and will roll on the shoot from 2021. While Keerthy Suresh is fixed to play Chiru’s sister in it, Ramesh is still in the hunt for an apt villain for Chiru.
Boyapati Srinu’s hat-trick film with Balakrishna is also suffering from the lack of a powerful villain. Even though Boyapati thought of who’s who of bad boy lot in the nation, nothing seemed to have worked out. If sources are to be believed, he finalized Suniel Shetty recently.
Mahesh’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata is also going through the ‘no villain’ phase lately. Parasuram is trying to rope in Bollywood hero Anil Kapoor to play the antagonist in the film and the discussions are going on reportedly.
