With the AP High Court having given a green signal to hold the local body polls, SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar met Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan. The SEC during his meet with AP Governor explained in detail regarding the election schedule and AP High Court’s ruling, at a time when the state government is reluctant. It is learnt that the SEC had requested the AP Governor to direct the state government to cooperate with the election commission in order to ensure smooth conduct of polls.
