Srikakulam Lok Sabha member from the Telugu Desam Party Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu had written a letter to the Speaker Om Birla requesting him for paternity leave. He said that he is going to be a father and needs paternity leave stating that he cannot participate in the budget sessions for nine days from Friday. He said that he had a responsibility to take care of his wife and child. He pleaded that his absence for these nine days should be treated as paternity leave.
Rammohan Naidu had married Sravya the daughter of former MLA of Telugu Desam Party Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy in 2017. Rammohan Naidu’s father, the late Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu and Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy were good friends and families who shared good bonding. Rammohan Naidu, who inherited the legacy of his father Yerran Naidu, has outshined in politics. He entered politics after the death of his father and contested and won twice as Srikakulam MP.
Rammohan Naidu has a good reputation as a member who regularly attends Lok Sabha meetings. The manner in which he addressed the House on many issues made him unique. He received the Sansad Ratna award at an early age. This is an award given to Parliamentarians for their outstanding performance. Rammohan Naidu’s leave, besides conveying his responsibility, led to an interesting discussion in the district.
