The BJP released their election manifesto in the wake of the upcoming GHMC elections. In order to lure voters, the saffron party has added a lot of promises in its manifesto, which is almost on par with the electoral promises made by the TRS, TDP and Congress. BJP’s manifesto was released today by Devendra Fadnavis, the current Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Telangana BJP Chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Dr K Laxman, DK Aruna, Former MP Dr G Vivek Venkatswamy attended the event. Speaking at the event, the former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said that the BJP played a crucial role in the Telangana formation. He added that the BJP manifesto was prepared with public welfare in mind.
BJP’s GHMC 2020 manifesto
– If the BJP is voted to power in the upcoming Greater elections, free Covid19 vaccine will be distributed to all in GHMC limits.
– Rs 25,000 financial assistance will be provided to flood victims in Hyderabad.
– In order to garner the votes of the middle class, the BJP has assured to abolish LRS (Layout Regularization Scheme)
– BJP has also promised to prevent flood-like situation by making sure that all works related to the drainage system in Hyderabad would be completed prior to the next rainy season.
– Assurance of housing for one lakh families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
– Promise of free travel for all Hyderabad women on Metro and RTC buses.
– Better Wi-Fi facility to be set up so that students can get access to quality education.
– Abolishment of Property Tax in all SC and ST colonies.
– No government fees for those constructing a house within 125 square yards.
– Clean and safe drinking water for all Hyderabad citizens.
– Will sanction a 10 thousand crore fund with the assistance of Central Government for the renovation and development of Musi River, similar to that of Namami Gange and Sabarmati Water Front projects.
– Free electricity of up to 100 units for BPL families.
– Will celebrate 17 September as Telangana Mukti Divas.
– Illegal structures and encroachments on Hyderabad drains will be demolished.
