Handsome hunk R Madhavan stole the hearts of Tollywood audiences with Sakhi which released in 2000. Directed by Mani Ratnam, Sakhi firmly established Madhavan’s career as a hero with a lover boy image. He went on to star in Gautham Menon’s ‘Minnale’ and ‘Dum Dum Dum’ which was produced by ‘Madras Talkies’ banner.
Madhavan collaborated with Mani Ratnam again in 2002 for ‘Amrutha’ which failed at the box office. His ‘Run’ with director Lingusamy became a sensational hit in both Tamil and Telugu languages. We are aware that ‘Stylish Star’ Allu Arjun is now busy with his upcoming film ‘Pushpa’ directed by creative director Sukumar. Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead in this Pan-Indian outing which is going to be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. It is jointly made under the banners of ‘Muttamsetty Media’ and ‘Mythri Movie Makers’.
‘Pushpa’ is based on the red sandal smuggling that is prevalent in the Seshachalam forest area. Bunny’s different makeover has attracted his fans and audiences. Speculations were rife that Madhavan is playing the villain’s role in this film, but Madhavan responded on his Twitter handle and deflated it. Fans are super eager to know who will play the villain’s role in their favourite star’s movie. Regular shooting of ‘Pushpa’ is going to commence soon in the forests of Kerala.
