Family members rushed Ramakrishna, a youth from Nadikudi village, to hospital after he suddenly lost consciousness. Two other youths in a similar manner lost consciousness and were admitted to the hospital, causing panic among people. However, the condition of one of those admitted to the hospital is still critical. According to locals, similar problems were being caused by the polluted water from effluents in the surrounding industries. They are demanding that the government take immediate action.
Why is this happening?
Earlier it was Eluru, yesterday Nellore and today Guntur. Even after several days of the Eluru incident, the state Health Commissioner says that research should be done and only then there will be clarity. It is known from the blood samples that there were traces of Lead and Nickel. However, experts are unable to give a solid reason behind how the water could’ve contaminated on a large scale. Meanwhile, the commissioner ruling out water-based contamination, made it clear that research is being carried out to understand what exactly happened. People question the negligence of the government when the incident shook the country.
