The National Human Rights Commission responded to the Rua incident. Former MP Chinta Mohan has complained to the National Human Rights Commission saying that the death toll was not 11 as claimed by the government instead it was but 30. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) immediately responded to the complaint by Chinta Mohan that 30 corona patients had died due to oxygen deprivation in Ruia. The National Human Rights Commission has directed the state medical health department to submit a report on this within four weeks.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken seriously the complaint of former MP Chinta Mohan that 30 people were killed in Ruia due to human error. If the same is true there is a possibility of taking strict action against those responsible. It is interesting to note that the government announced that only 11 people had died from oxygen deprivation and that the National Human Rights Commission was seeking a report at a time when allegations were coming in that many more had died.
