Samantha Akkineni is a multi-talented individual who is one of the top actresses of South India. Apart from acting in films, she is working as a host for a talk show named SAM JAM in Aha. She has recently interviewed milky beauty Tamannaah and is gearing up to grill her husband Naga Chaitanya shortly.
Sam is also acting in a web series and her last outing Jaanu remained a dud at the box office. After ten months, she is facing the movie camera for the first time for the Kollywood film Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal. It is directed by Vignesh Shivan while Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara are playing the lead roles along with Samantha.
The regular shooting of this film is starting on December 14th in Hyderabad. Apart from it, Sam has given her nod to act in a Tamil thriller directed by Ashwin Saravanan which will start rolling from next year. That’s why Samantha rejected a crazy project in which K. Raghavendra Rao is facing the camera for the first time.
Grapevine says that senior director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is planning to helm a biopic with Samantha. She is currently in talks for this film and is going to announce her decision soon. It will be produced by People Media Factory.
