Is Chandrababu Naidu strategizing for the local body elections or for One Nation One Poll? Answer for one of these two questions is true. The appointment of one in charge for every five Lok Sabha constituencies strengthens the argument. Like never before, new posts are being filled in TDP and it is said that Naidu is making the party ready for the one nation one poll. Anyhow local body elections will be held next year and it is learnt that Chandrababu Naidu received signals that the one nation one poll would also be held hence he has decided to strengthen the party.
Nine leaders holding key posts have been given crucial responsibilities. One special incharge has been appointed for every five Lok Sabha constituencies. MLC Buddha Venkanna was appointed in charge of Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalle and Araku. Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Amalapuram, Narsapuram and Eluru were given to Panchumarthi Anuradha. The responsibilities of Vijayawada, Machilipatnam, Guntur, Narasaraopet and Bapatla have been handed over to TDP senior leader Bathyala Changal Rayudu, while the responsibilities of Ongole, Nellore, Tirupati, Chittoor and Rajampet have been handed over to Satya Prasad. Former minister Amarnath Reddy was made in charge of Kadapa, Anantapur, Hindupur, Kurnool and Nandyal. Here, too, the TDP chief gave priority to the BCs. Two of the five key positions were handed over to the BCs.
The TDP chief has put a full stop to the arguments that Devineni Uma was not given a good post as he was made coordinator for local body elections for talking with other parties. Payyavula Keshav would supervise the official spokespersons of the party. MLA Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy has been given the responsibility to supervise the reports coming from the 25 Lok Sabha segments.
Precautions were taken to ensure that all the sections including SC, BC and OC get the posts. It is said that Chandrababu did best to balance the castes while giving posts. By giving priority to BCs, he has tried to show that TDP is a party of BCs. There is a talk going on that the present committees formed were not for local bodies but for one nation one poll.
