Can anyone believe that Malayalam Megastar Mammootty is reaching his 70’s?
His charm and screen persona are intact to date and Mammootty is still ruling the roost in the senior lot of Mollywood along with Mohanlal. He acts in four films per annum but 2020 witnessed only one film of him named Shylock due to the lockdown.
The teaser of his upcoming film, The Priest got released on Sankranthi. Mammootty is playing the role of a clergyman who goes on to solve a murder case using his paranormal powers in the film. While young director Jofin T. Chacko helmed the megaphone, B. Unnikrishnan and Anto Joseph bankrolled The Priest.
The teaser has catapulted the expectations of the Mollywood audiences on the film to the next level with its eerie atmosphere and haunting music. Visuals by cinematographer Akhil George are top-notch and Mammootty seems to have a winner already in his arsenal. Manju Warrier is playing the female lead in the film.
