Pelli Sandadi is a special film for Friendly Star Srikanth as it made him a star overnight. This K.Raghavendra Rao directorial was released in 1996 and went on to become a blockbuster. Ravali and Deepthi Bhatnagar played the female leads in this romantic-drama.
After 24 years, KRR is making a sequel for it named Pelli SandaD. Srikanth’s son Roshan is making his debut as a hero with it. Even though the legendary director tried to rope in Janhvi Kapoor for the heroine’s role, he had to satisfy with Malavika Nair finally.
Raghavendra Rao announced Gowri Ronanki as the director for Pelli SandaD and revealed that he would be supervising her initially. According to confidential sources, he replaced Gowri with Tanikella Bharani lately. Bharani has directed Mithunam in 2012 which was critically acclaimed.
We are yet to know the reasons which led to the change of directors for this most awaited sequel. For now, TLN congratulates Tanikella Bharani for bagging this golden opportunity.
