The people and political parties of the Palakonda Revenue division have threatened the government against dividing Palakonda into three parts. Irrespective of political differences, all parties and people in large numbers took up a rally and staged a dharna and also gave a memorandum to the local RDO. The locals even demanded that Palakonda revenue division be made a district and held a huge rally.
Far away from the development
The Palakonda Sadhana Samithi has expressed agitation over lack of development in Palakonda revenue division. The leaders participating in the dharna said that the decision of Chief Minister YS Jagan to divide the revenue division into three parts isn’t correct and that people will not tolerate and protest such a move. Under the Palakonda revenue division falls Pathapatnam, Rajam and Palakonda Assembly constituencies. They are demanding the government to include Burja Mandal and form Palakonda district and do justice to the locals.
Sadhana Samithi President Budithi Appala Naidu, Secretary Vandana Kurmaravu, Honorary Presidents of the Association Kanapaka Chaudhary Naidu, Chief Advisors Samantula Damodar Rao, Karnena Appalanayudu, Tankala Sudhakara Rao, Sunkari Sudhakara Rao, Vice President Thadangi Sunita, Ganta Santosh, Gandi Raminayudu, Sabbana Nana, Johnny, Vidyarthi Yuvajana Sangham leaders Garbhapu Narendra, Ponnada Rama Krishna, Pundariksha, Ganapatishwara Rao, Nageshwara Rao and others were also present.
