Baahubali actress Anushka’s film ‘Nishabdham’ finally seems to have broken its clutches. It is going to release on October 2nd on Amazon Prime. ‘Nishabdham’ was scheduled to release on 2nd of April if not for lockdown. It was postponed several times even after being bought by Amazon. Anushka played ‘Jhansi Lakshmi Bai’ in her previous film ‘Sye Ra Narasimha Reddy’ with Megastar Chiranjeevi. She played the role of a dumb and deaf girl in ‘Nishabdham’ which is a thriller with heart-touching emotions.
Writer Kona Venkat made this film under his own production house. Makers even tried to release it in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages at the same time, but thanks to the pandemic, their plans never materialized. Tamil actor Madhavan played the role of a celebrity musician named ‘Antony’ in ‘Nishabdham’. Hemanth Madhukar helmed the megaphone for this thriller. Supporting characters are played by Shalini Pandey, Anjali, Subba Raju and Andrew Hudson while Hollywood actor Michael Madsen makes a guest appearance in a pivotal role.
Producer Kona Venkat agreed to release ‘Nishabdham’ on OTT after much deliberation. He even conducted online polls about this issue to gather public pulse. He sold its rights to Amazon Prime after he concluded to not delay its release any further due to ambiguity on opening of theatres. Another big film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ starred by Suriya is also getting ready for its release on Amazon Prime two days prior to ‘Nishabdham’.
