The stage is set for the Dubbaka by-election which will be held on November 3rd, with all political parties intensifying their campaign with just four days left. Now, BJP Telangana president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay fired on TRS leader and Finance Minister Harish Rao saying that he will not accept challenges from boot polish leaders.
What are those challenges?
Since the Dubbaka by-election campaign began, a war of words broke out between the ruling TRS and the BJP, with both the parties indulging in mudslinging. Recently, TRS leader Harish Rao took a dig at BJP’s Bandi Sanjay, saying that the beedi workers are being paid a pension of Rs 1600 by the state government, adding that not a pie was being paid by the BJP. Harish also hit out at the BJP leaders for shamelessly claiming that the Centre was contributing to the Aasara pensions and challenged them to prove it.
The Telangana FM challenged Bandi Sanjay of the BJP for a debate at the old bus stand in Siddipet, adding that the public would decide as to who’s speaking the truth and those who fail to prove will have to tender their resignation immediately.
Will protest at Pragathi Bhavan
Bandi Sanjay in retaliation to TRS’ challenges hit back saying he doesn’t consider the claims made by a boot polish leader, indirectly referring to TRS Harish Rao. However, the BJP Telangana President made it clear that if their party emerges the winner in Dubbaka by-elections, he would sit in a protest at Pragathi Bhavan for a week, along with the displaced persons who lost land due to Mallanna Sagar project.
The BJP leader also lambasted the TRS leaders who resorted to propagating false allegations against them and added that the TRS would definitely face Karimnagar fate in Dubbaka too.
