Dynamic director Puri Jagannadh is back to form with iSmart Shankar which was released last year. He is currently busy with a pan-Indian flick named Fighter with Rowdy Star Vijay Devarakonda. Puri revealed about his financial indiscipline in many interviews in the past and he termed it as his only failure in life. But he also failed in giving a much-needed break for his brother Sairam Shankar.
His ill-luck with family continued with his son Akash Puri’s first film Mehbooba. Although Puri pinned lots of hopes on this re-incarnation flick, it turned into a dud. Akash is now busy with his second film ‘Romantic’ under the direction of Anil Paduri. It is produced under Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies and Puri Connects banners by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur. The film completed its shooting and post-production works are on a rapid pace now.
If sources are to be believed, Romantic will be released on OTT as talks are on between the makers and OTT giant Amazon Prime. Senior actress Ramya Krishnan and Makarand Deshpande are playing pivotal roles in it.
