The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led government, which is ruling Andhra Pradesh has been admonished by the High Court for pending NREGS bills. If our party comes to power, we will look at all equally, regardless of caste, creed, region or region. Do you remember the words of YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the occasion of his long journey as Leader of the Opposition? The only chance he had to prove his point was to see Jagan go ahead. With the feeling that we will see for once, the people voted for the YSRCP and Jagan sat on the CM’s chair.
Jagan forgot all the words he had given to the people as soon as he got the power. He embarked on orbital victories over his rival class. Hearing the name of the opposition TDP, the party leaders, and the party workers also developed a similar style of hatred. The TDP, which has never been aware of this issue, has also launched a similar style of struggle against the Jagan. However, he acknowledged that the TDP was hindering their path as they were not enough to defeat the government. But are the TDP allegations true? Or is Jagan saying the truth? The item that concludes gave an entry. Payment of bills related to the Employment Guarantee Scheme being carried out with Central Government funds in the same State.
The matter of payment of bills lands in court
While the TDP was in power, the employment guarantee process went well. The government, led by TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has been paying the bills for those works ever since. However, before the 2019 elections, that is, the bills for employment guarantee works made in the year 2018-19 were not seen to be paid due to the elections. Meanwhile, the election results came out, the TDP lost and the YSRCP came to power. Jagan, who had already shown his style of hatred towards his rivals on the platform where he was sworn in as CEO, was paying for these employment guarantee bills. As usual, even though the Centre has released funds for these works, the Jagan government has gone ahead with the lie that no funds have been received from the Centre yet.

Not to mention that 20 per cent will be excluded
In 2018-19, a total of 7.89 lakh jobs were created in the state under the Employment Guarantee Scheme. The Jagan government, which paid a total of Rs 409 crore in wages for these works, has only stopped paying bills to contractors under the material component. It is learned that this amount is over one thousand crores. The Jagan government was reluctant to pay the bills, believing that all the contractors who did the work would also belong to the TDP. TDP MLC, AP Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Association Honorary President YVB Rajendra Prasad has repeatedly expressed his displeasure over the YCP government’s attitude.
He also protested that many employed people were in debt due to non-payment of these bills and that the bills should be paid immediately to support them. However, the Jagan government did not show mercy. As a result, many contractors who have done work in unsustainable conditions have approached the High Court. The High Court, which received the petitions for hearing, has so far conducted a one-off hearing. During the hearing, the Jagan government explained that they had not paid the bills due to the lack of funding from the Centre. It was also said that the work done was poor and the Centre would give 20 per cent exemption in the bills. The contractors also hope that the payment of bills will start as the court has also said OK to this.
It is the High Court that has grasped the real issue
However, Jagan went ahead with his stubborn stance and still did not say yes to the payment of these bills. They told the High Court that even the bills could not be released. On Tuesday, the petitioners informed the High Court through their lawyers about the fact that the government was delaying the hearing of the case in the High Court on Tuesday. Realizing this, the High Court asked the Jagan government how it could have paid the workers’ share of Rs 409 crore if it had not received funds from the Centre. It also questioned how the central government had released the funds for 2019-19 for the year 2018-19. Instead of releasing funds for this year’s works, he was thinking about the release of funds for the coming year.
Outraged by the attitude of the public prosecutor
The court was further outraged at the attitude of the public prosecutor, who at the time was prepared to say something, for fear of where the High Court would point out his erroneous treatment of the TDP. Though they agreed to pay the remaining bills, excluding 20 per cent and was incensed as to why they had not even released them. The court also ruled that the payment of the bills must be completed by April 23, or that the Secretary-General of the Government must be summoned to court. On the whole, the High Court witnessed that the Jagan government was caught lying.
